Lauren Mae Bloomer is a woman from Tamworth whose body was dumped on the doorstep after reportedly being stabbed and run over repeatedly. Today, she has been named by police.
Officers were called to reports of an attack on leafy Bingley Avenue, in Tamworth, Staffordshire, in the early hours of Friday morning. Emergency services rushed to the new-build estate, but nothing could be done to save Lauren, and she was announced dead at the scene.

Today Staffordshire Police released Lauren’s first picture from Birmingham, while specially trained officers supported her devastated family. ‘Specially trained officers are supporting Lauren’s family, and they ask for their privacy to be respected at this tragic time.’
Death and Cause
West Midlands Ambulance Service said they had been contacted by police just after 1.37 am to reports of an assault. A spokesman said: ‘We sent three ambulances, two paramedic officers and the MERIT emergency doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene.
‘On arrival, crews found Bloomer with life-threatening injuries and worked quickly to administer advanced trauma care to the patient. Sadly, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save the woman.’
She was confirmed dead at the scene. Police were called to reports that a woman had been seriously injured on Bingley Avenue in Tamworth in the early hours of Friday morning.

Neighbors Statement
Last week, neighbors reported loud arguing in the early hours of the morning before hearing somebody shouting: ‘What have you f***ing done?’
Other residents said the woman’s body was thrown onto a neighbor’s driveway after she was ‘repeatedly run over.’ ‘After we were all woken up by the blue lights, I saw the man get into an ambulance with cuffs on. I couldn’t see anything wrong with him’.
A mother-of-two who lives nearby added: ‘I heard shouting at about 1 am on Friday. It was a man’s voice. I thought it was the builders who keep working around here until all hours.
‘The next I knew was when my partner, who works as a security guard, came back at 6 am and said they had found a dead body in the road. The house next door to the scene was unoccupied until the day of the attack.
“Our thoughts are with the family and that they get justice. It’s a tragic loss of such a young life.”
