As for TV viewership, Biden’s town hall drew more viewers than Trump’s, according to early figures. A total of 12.7 million viewers tuned in to ABC to watch Biden field questions from voters from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., compared to 10.4 million who watched Trump do the same on NBC, initial Nielsen ratings show.
Biden’s town hall, meanwhile, had 2.9 million views on ABC News’ YouTube channel. Trump’s town hall had about 4.7 million views distributed across NBC News, CNBC and CNBC television channels as of noon Friday.
